Garage Door Defender Roller Shutter Door Insurance Approved
The Defender secures your roller shutter door by trapping the door mounted bracket between the Garage Defender floor plate and the Defender itself which in turn prevents the door from being lifted. The Defender also stops the door from being pulled outwards and the roller shutter slats from being ripped out of the track on either side of the door frame. The floor plate sits just 10mm from the floor leaving no bulky trip hazards. It is secured into the floor using 3 M8 bolted sleeve anchors which are located on the inside of the garage, behind the door, stopping anyone from tampering with the fixings from the outside. The Defender itself slides and locks into position using 2 bayonet style fittings on the underside of the Defender. Once in place the bullet lock prevents the Defender from being removed, locking it into position. The lock and housing are fully protected internally of the Defender and the distance from the Defender outer skin to the inner locking pin is greater than the width of a grinder disc, therefore making it grinder attack resistant. The rear cowl sits flat up against the garage door, preventing the roller shutter door slats from being attacked and ripped out of the roller door tracks on the left and right hand side. The cowl or top plate covers the bullet lock preventing attack by a drill on the bullet lock and also acts as a large handle to move the Garage Defender easily into position. The Defender can be locked and unlocked in a matter of seconds using the 14mm diameter locking pin. The Garage Defender has an under coat of zinc, which protects it against the elements before being fully powder coated both internally and externally. It is the same for the Defender floor base plate which helps oppose the effect of weathering. The Defender has been designed and is manufactured here in the UK and comes with a 10 year guarantee. The Defender also comes with a lock cover plate which prevents any rain or dirt from travelling into the lock which in turn prevents any lock malfunction.
